Coco Hou knows the problem first hand
After finishing her accounting degree, Coco called hundreds of firms and applied for countless jobs. The feedback was always the same: not enough local experience. When she finally landed an interview, she failed the MYOB and Excel test.
A volunteer bookkeeping role at a friend's start up gave her the local experience she needed. From there she built a career in commercial accounting, became a tax accountant and founded her own CPA public practice, Platinum Accounting Australia.
Why Platinum Professional Training began
As her firm grew, Coco found that most job applicants had the degree but not the skills to do the role. Instead of turning them away, she built a course for aspiring assistant accountants, delivered inside her own practice. Graduates found jobs, recruiters started recommending the program, and Platinum Professional Training was born.
